Cavan Way, Dowra - Blacklion, 26 km, 1 day

This short path - one good day - runs from Dowra to Blacklion in county Cavan in the north of Ireland. Blacklion, the end point, is on the Ulster border. The cavan Way more or less follows the gently meandering and tree-lined River Shannon. On both sides of the river are meadows and fields. The tops of the gently rolling hills are covered in heather.

The Cavan Way is the last ledge of the Beara Breinfe Way, the 500 km trail starting in the south at Dursey Island.
