Wadden
Description
The Waddeneilanden - Wadden isles - is located in the North of the Netherlands. River deposits and sea currents create a large and shallow lagoon like sea, the Waddenzee. This is contained by a string of attractive islands with broad beaches, extensive dune areas, rich of birds and flowers. The islands are Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland, Schiermonnikoog. There are some uninhabited islands as well. The lagoon continues along the coast of Germany and Denmark. Very attractive for hiking.
