Jacobsweg Nieumeghen

Jacobsweg Nieumeghen, Sint jacobiparochie - Hasselt - Doesburg - Nijmegen - Roermond - Maastricht - Eijsden (- Visé - Liège), 513 km, 21 days

Nijmegen - ‘s-Hertogenbosch, 60 km, 3 days

This trail is a pilgrimage way to Santiago de Compostela. The Dutch Confraternity of Saint James reconstructed this route from the north of the country to the southeast. The start is in a village named after the apostle Saint James: Sint Jacobiparochie. The first part of the Way to Hasselt is the same as the Jabikspaad.

From Hasselt the Way follows river IJssel and visits old Hanseatic cities like Zwolle, Zutphen, Doesburg.

The part between Nijmegen and Eijsden is also known as Jacobspad Limburg. But instead of going to Nijmegen, one can head for ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The Jacobsweg Amstelredam will bring you back on the main track.

From the south of Limburg, the pilgrimage typically continues to Vézelay via the Via Mosana.
