VenedigergruppeThe Venediger Group: one of the top attractions of the Austrian Alps. This area with its vast glaciers, , together with the Glocknergruppe, is the heart of the Hohe Tauern. The fourth highest mountain in Austria, the Großvenediger, 3.666 m, is a realistic goal for many tourists. One must of course be on the rope in an experienced group. About 30 huts are available to the mountain adventurer. From there, many glacier tours and climbs can be made. This is a beloved area for experienced hikers with have sufficient experience and proper equipment.
