The third of the three wine ways along the western slopes of the Black Forest is the Markgräfler Wiwegli. This third wine way runs roughly between Strasbourg and Basel. It is the only wine way that gets close to the Rhine proper. Most of the time the path closely follows the mountain edge of the Black Forest, with good views over the Rhine, the Vosges and the Black Forest itself.
