Not a National Scenic Trail yet, the Pacific Northwest Trail aims to join the fame of the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail. The length is all right, some 1200 miles (1931 km) from the Washington coastline, passing Idaho, to the Montana Mountains. Passes include the Rocky Mountains, Selkirk Mountains, Pasayten Wilderness, North Cascades, Olympic Mountains, and Wilderness Coast.
