Positive Distant views across the valley of the River Severn to Wales from the limestone scarp slope along which the trail meanders. Leafy woods, well marked and maintained trails. Villages built of the local stone with ancient pubs (providing good food and beer) and churchyards with clipped yew trees. Ancient hill forts and burial mounds and long closed mills add a sense of history.
NegativeThis is not a walk over mountains but there are seem steep climbs and descents in places. Can be muddy and slippery.
