Sierra Leone
Description
The tropical African country of Siera Leone is located in the west of Africa, between Guinea and Liberia and facing the Atlantic towards the southwest. From the coastal plains the landscape gradually rises up to a mountainous plateau in the east of the country, with Mount Bintumani (1948 m) as the highest peak.
Outamba-Kilimi National Park in the north of the country, with its woodland and grass savanna, offers some possibilities for exploration on foot with a guide.
