Bahreïn

Description

Bahrain

Bahrain is a small island kingdom in the Persian Gulf, connected by a causeway to its western neighbour Saudi Arabia. It is an archipelago consisting of Bahrain Island plus another 34 smaller islands. Without exception all are hot, flat and dry. Highest point is Jabal ad Dukhan (134 m) in the centre of Bahrain Island.

Hiking does not appear to be a popular local passtime, but if you have plans for exploration on foot, try some of the smaller islands and walking along the coast. Best season for hiking is winter, from November until March.
