Biélorussie
Description
Belarus is a land of forests, wetlands, slow winding rivers and over 10,000 lakes. This landlocked Eastern European country is flat with low hills at the most, its highest point being Dzyarzhynsk Hill at 345m. Although there are no official long distance hiking trails, there are interesting nature parks such as Belavezhskaya Puscha on the border with Poland, where you find some of the last surviving primeval forest in Europe. In the northeast, Berezinskiy Biosphere Reserve with its mixed forests, water courses and flood plains, still harbors wolves, bears, bison and countless bird species.
